I learned to make wreaths as a young girl.

The practice of foraging - going out into the back woods with my snips and a canvas bag, gathering spruce tips and hemlock cones - was so visceral and memorable as a ritual before the long winter. It was true alchemy to take these treasures, tie them together with jute, and step back to realize I had re-created the forest's magic. A sort of cold-weather terrarium I could hang on the front door and admire every day.

It's now my pleasure to share this joy with you through our winter offerings.
