Divided Sky is the extension of a dream.

I started growing flowers out of love.

A search for joy in the mundane. A search for a moment of mindfulness in the middle of a fast-moving world. A search for a way to connect with community in a way that felt genuine and tangible.

After over 10 years of cultivation experience, and a degree in soil chemistry, I started Divided Sky Flowers by gifting mason jar bouquets to friends and family. The smile on their face as they contemplated the geometry of a dahlia bloom was instantly intoxicating. In 2020, my husband and I purchased our first home in East Forest Park, Springfield, and I started the urban garden that now provides every bloom I work with throughout the year. In 2022, I began attending markets and offering event work.

I grow my flowers on a 1/3 acre plot, using no chemical sprays and only organic fertilizers. I utilize the ‘no till’ philosophy to maintain a healthy soil ecosystem and support our pollinators to thrive. Each of the seed varieties I choose, based on our local climate, is started by hand in the winter to be transplanted into the garden in the Spring. This allows me to offer some of the most special and delicate heirloom varieties that florists simply cannot ship and store.

Divided Sky is three in one - flower farmer, floral designer, and delivery service. Current offerings include seasonal fresh flower delivery & event design, bespoke everlasting flowers, and thoughtful dried herbs and bath products.

In each experience with our flowers, I hope you can find a minute that feels longer than 60 seconds - a moment to suspend yourself in the beauty around us.

With gratitude,

Morgan Holland

Why “Divided Sky”?

Imagine your hands in the soil after a long day of gardening - each of your joints aching with heaviness. As you stand up and place your hands on the small of your back to stretch, your eyes lift and land on the clouds, one layer moving on top of the next. You breathe in deeply and feel yourself as part of something larger.

This is the essence of Divided Sky.

Try 6/7/11 if you know.

What’s behind the logo?

Special thanks to Lisa Hersey of Antler Editions in Easthampton, MA for creation of my block-print style logo. We worked together to create an image that shows both the physicality and spiritual side of the work that goes into flower farming.
